A half-day virtual conference presented by the NYS Comprehensive Care Centers for Eating Disorders, including subject experts from Albany Medical Center, New York Presbyterian Hospital, and the University of Rochester Medical Center and Golisano Children’s Hospital.

Mary Tantillo, PhD

Topic: Developmental, Clinical, and Relational Challenges

Dr. Mary Tantillo, PhD is a Professor of Clinical Nursing at the University of Rochester School of Nursing, Clinical Professor of Psychiatry in the University of Rochester Medical School and Dentistry, Director of the Western NY Comprehensive Care Center for Eating Disorders, and Founder of The Healing Connection Inc.

Sharon Alger, MD

 

Topic: Medical and Nutrition Management

Dr. Sharon Alger-Mayer is a professor of medicine at Albany Medical College and Medical Director of the Northeast Comprehensive Care Center for Eating Disorders.

Richard Kreipe, MD

Topic: Team Treatment in the College Health Environment

Dr. Richard Kreipe is a part-time professor at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, and the Medical Director of the Western NY Comprehensive Care Center for Eating Disorders.

Taylor Starr, DO, MPH

Topic: Identifying and Supporting Student Athletes

Dr. Taylor Starr, DO, MPH is an associate professor of pediatrics and Director of the Child and Adolescent Eating Disorder Program in the Division of Adolescent Medicine at the University of Rochester Medical Center, and Associate Medical Director of the Western NY Comprehensive Care Center for Eating Disorders.

Michelle Morales, BS

Topic: Educating and Empowering Family Caregivers

Michelle Morales, BS is the Parent Peer Mentor with the Western New York State Comprehensive Care Center for Eating Disorders. Michelle was presented with an award at the annual ‘What’s Great in our State 2020’ event on October 15th that recognizes individuals and programs that are successfully advancing the cause of children’s mental health in New York State.

Evelyn Attia, MD

Panel Discussion: Diversity in the Lived Experience

Dr. Evelyn Attia is Professor of Psychiatry at Columbia University Irving Medical Center; Clinical Director, New York State Psychiatric Institute; Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medicine and Director of the Center for Eating Disorders at New York-Presbyterian Hospital.
